displaced_dumblr_authorsThe final two chapters of The Amatus and the Altus are off to beta readers today! As this is the last huzzah for this project, I've invited all seven of my previous betas, plus two new and excited readers to comment on the WIP between now and next Friday, December 20.
I've heard back from one already, who said they thought it was great! Like, they usually have one or two suggestions, but nothing needed this time. The absolute rush of knowing a reader loves my work is amazing. It's like escaping the Collector base of ME2, running for the evac, not sure if you're gonna make that last jump.
Bum, bum, bum; bum-bum-bum-bum, the drums pound, then the screeeeeeeching leap! And, if you cultivated a good relationship with a loyal squadmate, they pull you into the shuttle so you don't die and the galaxy actually gets saved.
Okay, maybe that analogy got away from me, but, man, I get the same rush from achieving writing milestones as I do from that scene. I might catch some Kate or Marcus Shepard footage myself later, but here you can immediately enjoy a youtube clip by Cstyle12 (link jumps to 18:40 mark) of Shep, Garrus, and Tali escaping the Collector base.
